New baby crab - Sally Lightfoot or Green Emerald?

I just noticed this little bugger walking around and eating algae on the back wall.

Anyone know if this is a baby from a sally lightfoot or a green emerald? I have had both for about 6 months. It apears to have the hairy leggs like the emerald, but is brown and sandy color like the sally.

I havnt added anything within the last 5 months, so i dont think its a hitchiker.

Now who could say that little guy is evil.
Awwwww.

Hard to say at that size. Could have been a HH gone unnoticed for any number of months. Wouldn't necessarily have to be one of the two kinds of crabs you have in there.

I don't think it's a Sally Lightfoot. They are shaped differently.
Not sure?

I think I see black tips on the claws! Gorilla Crab!! Run for the hills!!!

Seriously, if you see black tips on the claws and it's hairy, it's a Gorilla and NOT good for the tank. If you have a sump you could throw it in there. Did you put it back in? If so, set up a trap and hope you get it again!

Definitely not a Sally or emerald. Leave it in the sump for cleaner duty if you wish, but that's as close to my tank as I'd want it...Keep your eyes peeled for more....(they rarely travel alone... )

Tiny guy!! Wish I could help, but I don't think it's a gorilla or sally, I do not know much about emeralds though. Sorry they are not my strength!

I wonder if it is a baby or a type of crab that stays tiny.
Good idea to put in the sump to be safe.
