| Social Darwinism victim | The garden eel somehow got into the fuge. He was lethargic, and I thought of leaving him there but then I saw a bristleworm chewing on him!!! So back into the DT he went. He's not burrowing his tail, maybe he's just stunned. There were one or two spots that looked a little like he brushed up against something harsh but I couldn't see any outright open injuries. He's one of our favorite critters!!! and he's been such a happy tank inhabitant!! I'm going to be very upset if he doesn't make it.

| Watch this Ma! | Re: My poor eel!!! Eels are REALLY tough and hardy. Don't give up on him. I bet he recovers nicely. We hadn't seen our Ghost eel for 5 or 6 weeks and we gave up on him as dead and eaten. Friday night, there he was, fighting with the BIG predators for a piece of silverside. I was shocked and also really impressed with the toughness of eels.

| Reef Lobster | Re: My poor eel!!! Aww Kathy I'm sorry. But sometimes when you think they are gone they come back! It's the ones that were great one night, and gone the next day with no signs that really get you. Keep hoping!! They are very hardy and may pull through. |
