That sucks. But they make aqua gloves that cover your entire arm and would fix this issue for you. Not to mention, they could save your life if you start messing around with Zoas.

Definitely wear gloves and take an over the counter allergy tablet as well. A small allergic reaction can quickly turn into something life threatening.

Re: Allergic to Salt Water :(

Excellent point, Jack.

Run carbon. That will help remove the toxins too. Your corals will thank you for it.

Re: Allergic to Salt Water :(

is carbon detrimental to the tank life to have in most of the time? I know it removes a lot of stuff, but i do really enjoy the crispness of viewing it provides when i decide to put it in

Re: Allergic to Salt Water :(

I think it depends on what you're keeping. I think if I had an SPS dominate tank, I'd run carbon ALL of the time. If I had a flower pot (gonipora) or a gorgonia, then they seem to need "dirty" water.

So it depends...

How is that for a noncommital answer? Maybe I should run for congress.

Re: Allergic to Salt Water :(

I'd go with these varga
Equestrian Glove They are super tactile, exactly what we need.

I bought the Coralife Aqua Glove and never used them, they are bulkey and there is no sensitivity what so ever.

Re: Allergic to Salt Water :(

I run carbon 24/7/365 in every tank I have, have had, clients tanks etc no ill effect carbon helps & has no side effects unless you do not rinse it throughly & avoid crush the carbon

After my little incident that landed me in the ER, I always wear my aqua gloves. At first they were incredibly difficult to work in, but you get used to them.
