OK - I'm Officially Insane

Many of you know that my tank in progress was nearing an end. I was just in the beginning stages of figuring out the plumbing on my tank. Stand was built, tank in place, sump and refugium made, lights hung.....just working on where to have the closed loop. Well, what I wanted to create was going to be difficult without drilling the tank, so I did the next best thing......ordered a custom 120 gallon acrylic. Oh, and I might add that this idea was prompted by my hubby/budget committee/DIYer (who wasn't up to the challenge of putting in the closed loop to my specifications and listen to me complain because it wasn't quite right ). Anyway, this happened about a month ago, and I've been working on finally ordering the last pieces of equipment I'm going to need for the plumbing (I just ordered a motorized ball valve to run the closed loop).

I know, I know....I'm crazy!

Woops, I forgot to mention that if you want to see pictures of it in progress here they are: My Tank Being Built. Curt has seen IAP's work, and was very impressed, which makes me that much more excited!

Thats going to be a nice looking tank. I have often thought about going to the same size tank but just cant stand the thought of changing out the tank. After all of the work that went itno changing out the last time I am going to stick with what I have. Keep us posted so we can see the progress.

LOL, Scotts! Woodstock - better not buy too many of those light fixtures!

Haven't decided what to do with the other tank....hmmm....if I keep it, it would make one heck of a mantis tank...lol....oh wait...it's glass - hmm....looks like I'll have to get another acrylic for the manits tank.

So, when are you going to be putting water in there Nikki? This wait is killing me and I'm sure it's killing you as well!

LOL DrDrew! I'll be right there.....well, wait....this won't hurt my reefing addiction will it? And, you aren't going to convince me to give you all of my reefing supplies, are you?

Michelle, it depends on how long it takes to get the plumbing put together after the tank arrives. Should be plug and play. As far as the wait goes....to me it has been such a long project that another month isn't a big deal anymore. I'm just trying to go with the flow....and this tank is going to have some, that's for sure!
