No more teeth for my overflow!

Amazing what you can find when you're designing a new system. So much good info out there.
Awesome article about overflows and the best way to place and design them. Kudos to Greg for the article!!!

Great Find there TG, I had enough forthought to open of the width of my slots before I set the tank up but no teeth would have been better. I can see clearly now.

Thanks, everyone!!

Alberto, yeah, I'm gonna move down to a 125 AGA that I got from Jeepers. I've mentioned thinking about it a couple of times, but I guess this is the first place I actually mentioned I was building the new system.
The 260, is an awesome tank, and I'm gonna miss it - but, truthfully, I haven't had as much enjoyment out of it because the work and maintainance is so hard. Mainly because I can't reach the bottom third of the tank and because there's just So much acrylic to clean (40 sq feet of it), so I spend a 1 1/2 days a week on a ladder after which I'm dopey with exhaustion. Even lifting the canopy is hard for me. My eyes were bigger than my biceps.

TG ... Great link mate .... and the nights I've layed awake thinking of my new overflow for my 500, I've never come up with the "Long Centred" Overflow which I like a lot. Also, having lost my two clowns a few weeks back due to the water surge over my current setup, this idea seems much much better.
Many thanks
Brucey

I thinking about a 6ft overflow ...... with 4x1" Drains (Overflow approx 2" wide). All the LR piled around it in the middle and then 3ft of swimming area at each end for the fishies to play in
