| Torch coral ![]() | Need some advice on tank drilling. I bought a new 150 gal tank last night. Now I have to figure out how I want to drill it. It is an AGA with their new Twin Mega flows. here is a link to it for those that do not know much about this tank... http://www.all-glass.com/products/aq...megaflow.shtml If you look at the diagram for the 150 you will notice that the overflows are not in the corners of the tank, but are set along the back glass. My question for those that have this tank is how do you like the over flows and should I keep them. I am thinking about tearing them out and building something a little slimmer. I have never made anything with acrylic, but am willing to try. I am thinking about tearing the overflows out, using the holes in the bottom of the tank for a closed loop, and then driling new holes for the OF to the sump/refuge. What are your thoughts? BTW, the bottoms of these tanks are now tempered glass. so no drilling holes in the bottom of the tank. Thanks for thoughts / suggestions. Mike

| Fish Addict ![]() | I am going to order a 55 of that style, but without the plumbing, cause I can save some $$ by DIYing it. I was quoted $175 for an Island 55 with the 2 holes, overflow, and tank, as to $130 for the AGA 55 with the hyperflow, 2 holes, and tank. Which do you hink, I think I like the AGA ![]()
