| Sea Pen | The curing LR.. Im going to order from Pacific East AquaCulter... now is it better if i Cure it or have them cure it? if they cure it then send it... will most of benifical Bacteria die off rather then uncured and stay on safe side and cure it myself leaving much benifical bacteria to be placed in my tank? |

| Harlequin Tuskfish | Re: The curing LR.. no matter what you'll have die off and have to cure it because of the time its in shipping with no water. you just wont have to cure it as long if you get the precured. if you have nothing in the tank i suggest the uncured and just enjoy the hitch hikers. pacific east has awesome rock you can see it in my chronicle. they have very good customer service and i recommend getting the membership with them as well.. you get a free coral frag.

The major die off will happen when the rocks are initially transported from it's place of origin (sponges, most inverts etc...). The 1st curing will be the most critical and would take the longest (theoretically), but the upside would be the varied amount of hitchhikers that could possibly survive transit. ![]() | |
