What temp are you running your reef at?

Since I will be adding my first corals next week, I started to research this a little. Interestingly, I didnt see anything on the beginners forum that addressed temp! I did a little research and found this old survey:

Reef Temperature Survey

So, what temp is everyone at for their reefs?

Re: What temp are you running your reef at?

I set mine at 78. I've seen it go down to 76 when it's gotten cold and 80 when it's been hot. I try not to let it fluxuate more than 2 deg in a day.

Re: What temp are you running your reef at?

I run all my tanks at 80, I would prefer 78 however; and if I ever got a chiller then I would set it there. My fans have a hard enough time with 80 Deg now and I don't want to push the humidity in my house any higher.

Re: What temp are you running your reef at?

I run mine at 77.8.... It's been pretty stable but Summer is on it's way. Great thing about the Solaris is I ran it all day yesterday and the temp didn't change at all 77.8 to start and 10 hours later 77.8....

My last tank with two 150 MH I tried to keep at 75 but once the lights came on it went to 78 and in the summer it ran two weeks at 86+.
