The "I Wish I Would Have...." Thread

If you could look back at your reef keeping "career" and name one thing that you wish you would have done differently, what would it be?

I know mine is "I wish I would have...gone with a reef ready/pre-drilled aquarium."

Remember...you only get one "I wish I would have...." make it a good one

When I started out I followed LFS advice.. I bought THREE different light fixtures (from LFS) before I finally bought one online and got a half way decent light. Money wasted!!!

I'm with the "I wish I found RS first" list. It would have saved a lot of fishey lives as well as saved me a lot of money.

I'm one of the lucky ones! I DID find RS before setting up anything.

Now, though, I'm going to have to wait to set up until I read about all the things you wished you done so I don't make any mistakes. I'll probably NEVER get this tank set up!

I wish I would have never seen a Bluespot Jawfish. Now I am like a crazed parent. Everytime I hear a splash from the fish room, I run I yelling Jose are you ok. I literally talk to him. I need help.

I wish I would have had realized I didn't know .01% of what I thought I knew. Also I wish I hadn't let You People talk me into this!

All I wanted was an aquarium with a couple of fish!
