Weird OCD tank stuff

So what do y'all do that's just above and beyond that you'd rather not mention to the general public (but we'd understand...

)

I generally pay attention to poop and scoop it out when I see it before it goes into the tank/overflow/skimmer. (uh huh, big surprise there.) And I talk to them. Usually it's "stop biting that!!!"

And I have the fish trained to come for food. I tap 3 times on the tank trim with my nails and Poof!!! fish swarming.

i change 10 gallons of water twice a week,i measure cal everyday,and i also can not get the glass dirty i mean scraped everyday

My weirdness (so far!) is that I'm completely obsessed with this whole thing, and my tank isn't even set up yet. What's up with that?!

I'm absolutely positive that I'm going to have lots of weirdnesses once the fricken thing is actually functioning. How could I NOT?

I'm scared that I'll never know what I need to know to feel confident enough to put water in it and fire it up.

Water is good Barb. It gives the fish something to swim in! They prefer it with 35ppm salt.

Shhhhhhhhh, do not tell anyone, but I like to talk to the inhabitants of Scott's tank when no one is home. The tank is my own private therapist.

This is how I do things. It's just not as much fun if I don't suffer some. Weird, I know!

I can't tell you the number of times I have launched myself out of bed from a deep sleep thinking I heard water hitting the floor when it was actually one of the kids running water in the sink or the bath.

Also I curse Scotty (the scribble face rabbitfish) for being a pig, and I use a large spoon to shoo him away so the others can eat. I've had to whack him...hard, several times and he comes back with fins flared. It's become a game. I love this fish, he's just a pig!

Oh boy! that stops my heart every time! I always jump up thinking i left the top off water running. I just can't get use to the fact that i have a float switch. It a nightmare to think my salinity will drop.
I also like to lay in front of the refugium at night when the family is asleep and mist my mangrove. I find it very fascinating to grow a plant in saltwater.

My fish tank is in my bedroom and I constantly throw myself out of bed at night because I think that I hear a strange sound coming from it. I also wake up in the middle of the night to check my top-off water.

i wake up to take a leek about three times anight and i alays make a point to flash the red light and see whats going on at 4 30 in the morning
