hmmm....any ideas ?

I discovered these on my aquarium walls and there were quite a few of these in the filter when i cleaned it out....also they are on the live rock as well .....got any ideas as to what they are?.....the picture is not that clear but they are tube-like and at the ends have little strands that spread. They are white, almost clear. And the texture looks kind of weave-like.

More than likely a type of sponge. Can't be certain with the blurry photos. If your tank has been up and running for a while it may be sponge. If it is for sure, it is a good thing. They will help to filter the water. Try to post some better pictures, sometimes camers, especially point and shoot, have a hard time focusing on glass. Place something there for the camera to focus on. a piece of paper with a hole cut in it or a ruler will sometimes do the trick.

Looks like pineapple sponges to me, a better photo would be useful.

Andy, there are better ways of posting photos like joining www.photobucket.com and downloading your photos there, it's free. Then copy the IMG code and paste it right into your thread.
