Killer Emerald Crab?

he is now about 2" and i just stopped him from killing my new lettuce slug!
he also swings at clown fish.
did he confuse the slug for some veggies or is he evil and should be removed? how would i go about removing it? he runs from me when i approach the tank.

he is evil. i would go with a skewer and joust him, then straight to BBQ

i am worried the crab and a small fish might get trapped at the same time!

the fish will be able to get out the crab will not.

I used to have one but he's been banished to the fuge. I caught him by simply enticing him with a piece of Nori seaweed. Of course I had been handing him little pieces for some time since there wasn't much algae in the DT to eat.

i have a huge evil hermit crab who was banished to the fuge at first, then i had to stop him from killing a large feather duster, now he lives with the skimmer with three other killers

im starting to think they might be better off living in the back yard

I almost had him last night. I had him on his back, against a rock, with a BBQ fork on his chest!! all i had to do was push down but i just could not do it! he grabbed the fork with his one claw trying to fight back, so i let him live.

the coke bottle trap did not work at all! a smaller crab went in and moved the bait around, then the big guy just reached in and stole a big chunk which he ate in about 30 seconds! i got it on video

Keep trying with the trap. Eventually it will work but sometimes it takes a while. Then either return to the LFS for credit or banish to the sump or fuge.
