| Reef Lobster | Re: keeping preskimmer from sinking right now is it just attached with a couple suction cups on the back? Your best bet is going to be to somehow fabricate something to Hook over the back to hold it in place. I know that there are suction cups at the hardware store with plastic hooks on them, maybe this would work for you? |

| Reef Shark ![]() | Re: keeping preskimmer from sinking I'm trying to remember how they hook up. I had/have one, but it's been several years since I used it. It's buried too deeply in the garage to find it...SEEMS like just friction between the pump and box held it in place. I don't remember any screw like the AquaC Remora box...

| Has been struck by the ban stick | Re: keeping preskimmer from sinking Buy 2 pieces of acrylic about 1" wide and 8" long. Heat each piece up to for a J or hook. Silicone the straight piece to the skimmer box and hook the other part of the tank. OR: Bend the two pieces of acrylic and then drill holes through the hooks and the box. Attach the hooks to the box with a simply nylon bolt and nut. Available at any hardware store. If you have a router, route a slot in the skimmer box so that you can slide it up and down to adjust the height on the hooks. Run the nylon bolt through the slot and tighten it up. |
