| Bryozoan | I have a 125 reef tank with mixed soft mushrooms lps and sps corals the fish bioload is fairly heavy yesterdays test was Sg. 1.024 with a good refractometer Kh/Alk 10.2/3.66 Saliferts test kit Ca 420 also saliferts test kit Mg 1120 red sea test kit I know it is a little low for Sg so I dosed a little Mg Po4 0 red sea kit no2 0 aquarium pharm test kit no3 10 yikes ? Ph 8.3 I did a 25 gal water change and vacumed my sump but do that weekly should I be worried or am I being to anal about my tank every thing looks good but for a few patches of hair and turf alge and last week I changed my lighting schedule over my cheato to 24/7 it was running on a reverse schedule as tank lighting |

| Re: nitrates at 10 should I be worried How much rock? How long set up? I am assuming you are feeding to heavy. Most of us did/do that. Ten is not earth shattering put up the water changes to bring it down so you don't tick off the SPS. |

| Golden Moray | Re: nitrates at 10 should I be worried I think that you have reason for concern. Corals don't care much for nitrates. How often have you been doing water changes and checking your parameters? I know that when my tank is doing well, I tend to slack off a bit. I wouldn't panic but start to take appropriate measures to get your nitrates back down. You might want to skim a bit wetter and reduce feeding somewhat. Good luck. |

| Bryozoan | Re: nitrates at 10 should I be worried set up about 18 months now probably more than 175lbs live rock in tank more in sump all at least a year in the system just added ozone but not sure it is worth using but it has only been up for a week been doing 25gal weekly water changes probably am feeding pretty heavy using a tunzee9010 skimmer it works great might try upping to 35gal weekly water changes |
