| Ricordea | 2 cans of spray paint, 1 20gal tank and it's a start. I got the bottom and the back of the tank painted last night. It's dry tonight so I placed it on the stand. Now it's a matter of filling it with water and getting back into the hobby after 8 years of not having a reef tank. Painted the bottom black, the back is a light blue. I did the same on my 90gal tank and it worked great. Its so much better then paper. Let me know what you think. How does every else handle the back of the tank? ![]() ![]() ![]() |

| Scopas Tang | Re: 2 cans of spray paint, 1 20gal tank and Its looking good so far, alot of people paint the back like you did, luckily mine came with a black acrylic backround glued to the back already. You should start a chronicle of your tank build in the Reef Chronicles section on here.

| Ricordea | Re: 2 cans of spray paint, 1 20gal tank and ok, here we go. Go my lights, pumps and skimmer today. Filled it with water last night and I'll add the live sand once the temps come up. The 200watt heater on the front is just to get the tank to temp faster. It will be removed and the 100watt heater will be placed in the outlet of the Bak-Pak. Here's the equipment list so far: 20gal Reef Nano Aquarium 1 - Coralife Aqualight 24 1 65watt 10,0000k daylight, 1 65 watt Actinic 03 Blue 1 - CPR Bak-Pak 2R+ Skimmer 2 Max-Jet 600 1 100watt Visi-Therm Slealth Heater 1 LifeGard Little Time or Temp Monitor I'll pick-up the live rock tomorrow night on the way home from work. ![]() |
