Cleaning algae

I hate doing it, but I have to clean the algae off the inside of the tank.

I dont mind it really but using that stick brush is really a drag and Im not even getting 100% of it.,

How does everyone feel about those floatable magnet scrapers? Are they easy to use? Im afraid of scratching my tank - THEN Id really start to cry.

Can anyone recommend anything?

and for a 46 gallon which one do i get? I hear the magnets can get mighty strong.

ummm,,,,go to the pet store and tell them you need a small mag-float,,it is a brand name magnetic scraper. you will prolly want the small one,,,,should run 12 dollars....is that specific enough,,,,lol

I noticed they sell one for acrylic tanks and one for glass tanks....

I have glass so I thought get the glass one...but then i realized since acrylic is easier to scratch that maybe Id be better off with the acrylic.

Any thoughts?

good for up to 5/16" glass so you will be fine with it.
Should be Cream colored and say Mag float on it. (The blueish colored one is for Acrylic).
