Re: sixline wrasse disease???

ninjataco, does have your sixline slightly protruding eyes and/or light changes in the fins? His swimming behaviour is normal and the swell in the belly grows only slowly?

Ok ... fine , some post earlier you have written it are to be seen of light changes in the fins? is right thus?

perhaps you can also recognise some places by the twill, not changes strongly quite slightly darker appear? Possibly comparably with "shadow spots" on the skin?

Re: sixline wrasse disease???

OK ninjataco, if one takes into consideration all your remarks it looks like a Abdominal dropsy to me. A more precise containment of the symptoms is necessary. Should arise it could concern around Abdominal dropsy, I would isolate the affected animal immediately.

This illness is released by Pseudomonas or Corynebacterium sp. As soon as a fish shows the stage thick at soaked belly, still help is possible only very seldom. In this stage the kidneys are mostly already damaged. The fish can eliminate no more liquid and poisons itself.

This illness is only to treat with Erythromycin, Nifurpirinol or a Tetracyclin. One Mixes in smallest dosis in the feed. Also treated should become as a precaution all the other fish living in the aquarium there it concerns a bacterial illness.
