ro tank annual wooo's

I dont know if im the only one that this happens 2... and i think ive asked this b4.

but my RO tank gets like a slime coating on everything after a few months.
B4 i use to have to dip my bucket in to the tank 2 get it out.. then i made the table to set it on, useing a bulk head with a ball valve i dont have to dunk in to the tank... thus keeping the lid closed more.

but the heaters, the air stones the pumps and the side walls all get a slime coating like i said, so what i have to do is drain it clean it out dry it all up and refill it every few months.

do anyone else have to do something like this?
I mean this last time around i waited about 5 months b4 haveing to clean...

my question is this time im feeling lazy and dont want to unplug everything to take it up stairs to clean it, i have all my stuff siting in the last bucket of water i took out of the rubbermaid this morning... what i want to do is dump a little bleach in there with it, let it all pump and circulate then later 2 day when the ro tank has water in it ill fill a new bucket rinse and then insert back in to the tank.

b4 on the ground

now on the table

slime coating = bacteria

airate your holding tank. check incoming water and effulent into holding tank.

there will always be a filming of some type, bacteria is in the air (as are alien mind probes,,,,wear tinfoil) circulation, airation and dilution. if you need to scrub out once and awhile,,,then you need to.

Re: ro tank annual wooo's

regular spirit vinegar should do the trick, and is less harmful than bleach. I use vinegar and warm water on all my equipment. Obviously rinse container after using either vinegar or bleach.

Re: ro tank annual wooo's

cool beans,

Im just gonn unplug the 2 heaters the 2 power heads, and the air stones take em upstairs,

i think ill invest in some sort of air purifier for that corrner, maybe it would help?
the air pumps pump the surrounding air thur the line to the water right?

so assuming that the rubbermaids sealed, and sterile and the air pumps are "in a streile environment" the water would stay slime free?

nothing you could add 2 your rodi holding tank to keep it clean...
