| Tunicate | Live Rock in My Canisters Hello all. I have a 1yr old 55g saltwater tank running 3 fluval filter canisters. I've been thinking of switching out my filter media out of canisters and replacing it with live rock. Has anyone ever heard of such thing... I would love to hear opinions/feed back on this... Thanks Javi |

| Tridacna maxima | Re: Live Rock in My Canisters You may get some detritus accumulation in there, but monthly cleaning should take care of it. I can't see a reason it won't work.

| Golden Moray | Re: Live Rock in My Canisters ya i dont see why not, What i would do is every week or so right b4 doing my water change pick the can up moveing it around so that the rock tumbles dislodgeing most of the stuff (u will see a bunch of crud come flying in 2 your tank, do the water change, then let it clear up... i would not change all 3 of the cans to Lr at once.... maybe one a month? or every 3 weeks?
