| Has been struck by the ban stick | My ricordea are still "cupping" After the new light upgrade, after experimenting with different levels in the tank, different flow rates, ALL MY RICORDEA "cup" upwards, like they are striving for light. I dont get it...maybe I should just get rid of them before they all die...help me....im not allowed to get a new tank till next year.....as per my "boss lady" what else could I do for these rics...they still LOOK healthy, just they grow upwards and are shaped funny! |

| Do I look as lost as I am ![]() | Re: My ricordea are still "cupping" Quote:
That's exactly what I was about to post. Actually I would try putting one of the cupping ones in another tank. A friend or someone who has SW and see if there is indeed something "Wrong" that we aren't testing for. It's worth a try. Good luck!!

It's ALL gotta go!! Nitrate (NO3) reduction is directly proportional to percentage of Water Change. Allen's home-made formula...currentNO3-((%WC*.01)currentNO3)=finalNO3 (thanks Luukosian) This means if you change 50% of your total water volume (That's EVERYTHING) you'll get a net reduction of (NO3) somewhere around 50%. | Scopas Tang ![]() | Re: My ricordea are still "cupping" i'll up the ante to a buck apiece and half the shipping. i dont see anything wrong with your pic, my shrooms cup frequently too. then eventually they lay down. if their not dead and melting life is good. if they dont like the conditions they are in like an anemone, they will detach and float around until they find a happy spot. i had a whole rock do that once when i moved them into a too dark spot. and left for the weekend. |
