X Mas Shopping Turns Into A New Tank for Me!

I decided to give a niece an aquapod (or some nano ) for
Christmas.
She is the only person who really seems to "get" the whole
reef thing and I while I know she would never spend
what it takes to get started, I think she could and would
do it properly and enjoy it.
Sooo, I was in my LFS talking to the Owner about options when
he offered to sell me this

24g aquapod with MH lights and all livestock for a
great price.

I've always wanted a rig like this with the open top
and light kit, but been unwilling to spend for a new rig.
So, I bought it.........for me!

I'll still order my niece a new unit (with standard lights

)
for a starter kit.

Included various softies, a coris wrasse, fairy wrasse, 2 cardinals (which
I let them keep) and plenty of LR, sand, etc.

No experience with the light but sounds like you had fun shopping.

You could be like me and Cat and say it just jumped in the car.

I had that same setup. Does it have the 70W or 150W MH?
My only complaint with that system is the lack of flow, when it is stock.

this is why i hate christmas,,,you are like obligated to buy stuff for people that should know you love them. you did the right thing,,,its all about me~~~all year i paid full price for everything i want and now its on sale and i gotta give it away, hellsbells no....i want it,,,,heres a giftcard to walmart that says "i love you" happy ho ho~

Absolutely! I'm not gonna leave it like they had it!

I'm gonna strip down the LR, etc. piece it out into my various
nanos and start over!

I picture a paired pistol shrimp/goby , a real clam.
I've never had mh light before

I'm embarrassed to say I don't know. I have to admit I didn't know
there were 2 options. Guess we'll see Monday

a power head or pump in the back section with some 1/4 loc line over/outta the back part would serve as a nice closed loop
