Holy Snot! That's insane. Kinda makes you wonder if the zoanthids produce gold or something. LOL

Huh? That's ridiculous. And only a 2" frag? I was thinking for that price, it must be a 10lb rock of them or something. You've gotta be kidding me.

Let's see, if I fragged everything in my tank and sold it on Ebay, I could keep the mother colonies and afford a 500g tank. LOL!

What I find strange is if you look at the bid history, they all say "private auction -- bidders' identities protected". Anyone know why that might be?

Insane stuff.

A friend in the Bay area, who'se a coral farmer happpened to get a frag of some VERY nice blues last year. VERY NICE!! A certain coral farmer with his own prominent website, (won't mention any name) offered him $500.00 for the frag of about 25 polyps, according to my friend. Everyone knows this guy would have grown them out & sold them for about $50.00+ for 4 or 5 polyps in a frag.
So are Blues expensive...You betcha!
By the way, the same fella sold me a rock about the size of 3 golf balls, completely covered with zoos that are purple/maroon skirts, with blue/gray centers for $15.00. Nice to have friends in the biz!

I can't believe the bid is actually that high. Teri, I wonder also about private auction. Looks like maybe his friends might be helping him increase the bid?!

That's completely insane! I've also checked the prices on his website and those prices are insane as well!

Is there any possibility that those pics are touched up a little? That's an amazing shade of blue and the pinks he has on his site are very intense as well.

Oi!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When I looked it was up to $405. and I guess that was not a typo.

Well if you have the money, it's no object.

I on the other hand wouldn't object if I was selling it, HA!

Cheers!

I've been quoted £50 (Approx $80) per blue polyp to get them sent over to the UK ..... Now you can see why I'm trying to entice playa over with a promise of free beer for some of his Frags.
LOL Brucey

Wow! Brucey it must be a bummer not to be able to get some of these nice corals over in the UK without paying a small fortune for them.

No way I could pay that much--Most of the stuff (if your quick) including zoes on logical reef isn't even close to that much and they look amazing! It would be nice to have some frags though!
