| Tuxedo Urchin | Phosban Reactor = More Skimmate? I’ve added a Phosban reactor about 8 weeks ago and hadn’t noticed any improvement with the cyano in my ‘fuge. I checked the reactor two weeks ago and the pump had stopped working…well long story short I replaced the pump and the reactor is functioning properly again. After fixing the reactor, I noticed that my skimmer was producing a lot more skimmate. I haven’t adjusted or tweaked the skimmer any, only emptying/cleaning the cup once or twice weekly. Also, I haven’t noticed any critters or cleanup crew members missing as of late. Do you think that I’m getting more skimmate due to the cyano kicking the bucket? Although it’s not drastically better, the cyano seems to be receeding a bit. God bless, Disciple

| The Wand Geek was here. ;) ![]() | Re: Phosban Reactor = More Skimmate? Yep, The increased skimmate is probably your skimmer removing the organics instead of the cyano.
