| Scopas Tang | Low salinity want to bring it up ok i have a biocube29 that has been set up for a few weeks now. my salinity is exactly 1.023, and i want to get it up to 1.025-1.026. when my water evaporates, can i just mix some salt in the water i am going to top it off with?(of course i will measure it) Thanks for your help, Nick |

| Tridacna maxima | Re: Low salinity want to bring it up Yes you can, but if you have inverts (especially stars) you must bring it up slowly. I think you should drip whatever solution you add so the level comes up very slowly.

| Sunshine Reefer ![]() | Re: Low salinity want to bring it up I would mix top off water to 1.025 and gradually add it as the water evaporates. I would do small top-offs at least once a day if not twice. This will raise the salinity very slowly
