Rods reef food

Anyone else feeding this stuff? I have been using it for over a year now & the fish & corals love it. Our local club had a fragswap yesterday & Rod came, talked about his food & breeding clownfish. Bought some great frags too...pics later Rod's Food - The Complete Reef Food This food can be found at Premium Aquatics INC - live rock and aquarium supply if yout LFS doesnt keep it.

Re: Rods reef food

I've used it and LOVE it! I loved it even more after I ran out and decided to make my own food and realized just what an ordeal it is. Seriously, it's worth the money. One food for everything! No mess!

Oh, you've met him to!
Yeah, the foods great. I would never go with out it. And its packedged in RO water, no algae jet fuel in gel form. His shop in DeKalb is nice to. Its a small shack in the back yard but very nice corals. Would recommend him + food. Hey, has anybody done a product review.

Re: Rods reef food

I got a sample of it at MACNA this year. Everything seemed to like it but I got so many samples I am working my way through them. So far it is one if my favorites though so I will likely be ordering some.

Any using this now? I've contacted my LFS and asked if they are going to "Carry It" or should I order it ONLINE with my "Next LARGE $$ order"?

Nitrate (NO3) reduction is directly proportional to percentage of Water Change.
Allen's home-made formula...(-NO3=WC%)
This means if you change 50% of your total water volume (That's EVERYTHING) you'll get a net reduction of (NO3) somewhere around 50%.

Ask me about how to increase your REEF budget without going without FOOD!!

Re: Rods reef food

Glad to hear. Since this thread was started I've seen some threads across the net (Not on RS) about users complaining of an "algae issue" when using this food but I'd venture to say that's possibly and even PROBABLE with any type of food if used incorrectly or if the tank isn't set up (filter, flow etc) correctly.
