I got a six stage with tank from them about 2 months ago. It has worked great. No leaks and 0 TDS (130 TDS going in). It's a good unit with an awesome price.

wd- Don't feel bad I have been looking for a few months now and just came across this vendor. I was going to buy from airwaterice but this guy's prices can't be beat. I just wonder if it has an auto shut off for a float valve?

pista or anyone- How does the auto shut off work? I sent them an email and they said it only comes on the 100gpd unit with the tank. I don't really want/need the tank. they said they could do an 100 gpd for $90. But they said the auto shut off only works with the tank. But other systems I have seen you can add an auto shut off or use it w/o a tank. I want to run it to a float valve in a rubbermaid or such and use that to gravity feed my tank. Or just as a larger ro resevoir.

Do you think I can run an autotop off without the tank? It seems that it just uses pressure to shut off both the water outlets. I can get a separate auto shut off and add it?

Thanks

Tom

i bought one on ebay. i forget the name of the company but they are in los angeles ca. i paid 98 dollars and its a ro/di with a autoshut off. its a five stage unit. these units are kinda hard to plum if you have a comperssion fitting under your sink. but after your done its worth all the trouble.

tommyp,
I don't see why they can't add a shutoff valve. It works by using back pressure, whether with a tank or a float valve. My guess is that the person that replied to your e-mail didn't have a clue.
The shutoff will work just fine with the float valve. When I build my 75 gal, I will add a tee for the auto topoff and run it with the tank.

thanks pista

Thats what I thought I was just making sure. Will probably go with the 75 and then add a shutoff. Therefore saving some cash. If I got the 100gpd w/o tank it would cost as much as the tank version when I added the shutoff. I imagine I can upgrade to an 100gpd membrane when i have to replace it. The 75's are usually high rejection and the 100s are higher rate but let more impurities pass to the di wearing it out quicker.

Thanks

Tom
