| Harlequin Tuskfish | Should I frag it? I want to see just how big it will get & plan to move it to a bigger tank but its starting to smoosh up gainst the glass. Ive had to move all the corals & clams out from below it for light. There are corals behind it I havent seen in months! Do these things sprout babies or what? Picture really doesnt show just how big it is...has a trunk about 4"dia. Toadstool |

| Reef Addict (hopeless) ![]() | Re: Should I frag it? Wow! I have mixed thoughts there. Normally I'd say "Frag it Bro!" But looking at how perfectly formed and literally MAGNIFICENT that one is I kind think you should NOT frag it. Just carefully remove it from where it is now, place it into a TRIPLE bag, then into a Styrofoam cooler and SHIP IT TO ME! ![]() No seriously that's one of (if not THE) the most impressive toadstool's I've seen. That says a LOT for your water quality and husbandry skills there buddy. Allen

| Golden Moray | Re: Should I frag it? The trunk on mine is about 3" in diameter and it has sent out several small babies at the base. I don't know how big they will get but I just moved mine to my 210 gallon so it can grow as big as it wants (I think). I wouldn't frag it. If it really gets too big, sell it and but a smaller one. It's too nice to frag! |

| Bryozoan | Re: Should I frag it? cioutlaw Great looking tank! Your Toad Stool is a good candidate for propagation. Use a new razor blade and cut the head and stalk of the coral as if you were quartering an apple pie. In a few weeks you will have 4 replicas of the original coral. Gettanked / Garry |

| Harlequin Tuskfish | Re: Should I frag it? I have seen 1 bigger at Inland Aquatics in Terra Haute Indiana, It must be 2' across! I have been waiting for this thing to drop some babies. I think ill wait & get my 225 done & give her some room. Tads must not be too toxic because its rubbing up against some Birdsnest & doesnt seem to bother either. I have had to move some corals due to shading. Here is a pic from April-ish 2006, Do Coral Beauty Angles normally turn all purple when they mature? Mine doesnt have any orange anymore. |
