Flow Testimonial

about a month ago i developed a spot of HA in my sump, no big deal, got rid of it and found a tuft growing in the DT, all my tests came out at 0, water changes etc etc, hair algae grew to a decent sized clump manual removal, it grew back, by now it should be gone so the investigation starts, low and behold my closed loop that is silent and invisible had quit running! ceramic shaft and bearings frozen solid, took 2 hrs to free it up with CLR, so the loss of 1500gph started an algae outbreak in a tank that has NO problems, no cyano,no HA nothing for 5 years, my skimmer is pulling double doo doo now, I am amazed, so if your having algae trouble... look at the flow. Sasquatch, Agreed! One main problem with my HA garden was improper flow! May I ask what "CLR" stands for? Thanks

Lime and
Rust remover. It's a cleaner

CLR is a very rapid decalcifier and in all honesty I cannot say its reef safe or not, I do rinse everything obsessively, dry it and rewash, so far no trouble and I only use it for frozen pumps

I use CLR to get rid of the calcium deposits on my bathtub fixture, and the little sprayer thing on my kitchen sink. I'd vote not reef safe on that one. Good thing you rinse everything really well.
