| Sunshine Reefer ![]() | Re: few more questions What does the skimmate look like? Is it very watery or very thick? If it is very watery then you may want to adjust the skimmer to skim a bit dryer so you don't remove so much water from the system. Usually your CUC takes care of the algae. Well that and a mag float and water changes. Where are you in the cycling process or is this an established system?

| Sunshine Reefer ![]() | Re: few more questions Sounds about right particularly with it only being up for 4 weeks. The skimmer is doing what it is supposed to do and removing the DOCs. I usually have my skimmers run a little wet particularly on a new setup. Then it is dealing with the die off from the LR etc. It should slow down some after a while. You don't want to adjust it too thick either since it will be removing fewer DOCs from the system.
