PETCO AQUARIUM SALE $1 per Gallon

Hey just wanted everyone to know that if you go to a local petco they are having a sale on aquariums. You pay $1 per gallon. I am planning on going to day after my last class!!! Wooohooo. I dont think its availible online for ordering but it is advertised on their webpage for in store pick up's

...also of note...this offer aplies only to the normal rectangular AGA aquariums and not other specialty shapes such as bows ect.

I was in Petco yesterday for dog and cat supplies.
Sale is for 8 days only. Not sure when it started.
So if you are interested - act fast.

dont go look at Petco's livestock unless you like feeling sad or you are on a rescue mission.

And it only applies if you have a petco card but they are free and take 2 minutes to fill out, I had to sine I didnt have one. Yes they are only for the glass rectangular ones. I just picked up a 55g that will fit my stand perfectly and relieve me of my built in wet dry filter pain! yay!

That's it from 20 gallons to 55 gallons and over by Sep 2. Gosh, I was hoping to get a new 300 at that price.

i went in their hopeing for a 100 gallon....but they only went to 55 i have three of these and i dont want another one..lol

Obviously!, what do you expect...

If they were offereing that price on larger tanks it would be well below their cost....therefore they would lose money.

yea i went looking for a 125 gallon... the reason they do this is cuz they know you are goign to by the filter there, the fish there, the salt there and they'll make their money back real fast

I am not trying to argue or anything but I only bought the tank..no filter, salt or anything. I guess if you were a beginer setting up a new tank then that would work. I feel so bad for the little fish there, they are all faded loking and stuff. Plus I know they only go up to 55g but for people like me (college budget + small apt.) thats an ok good size tank. : )

But if you go on craigs list they have some nice big tanks for cheap, of course they are used though!

Grr I need a 10g for qt and they start at 20. I'll have to see if we need a new sump or something for one of the tanks.
