how do u tell when a mushroom is extending their foot?

hey guys well i bought a mushroom frag with three decent size mushies on it.
well one is getting big,but he is not really round...how can u tell if it is extending its foot?

I have always learned that when shrooms start shrivling up and closing a little, not even, thats when they are gonna be splitting soon...i dont know....used to have a bunch of regular discoma shrooms....they did it all the time.

The foot is the part connected to the rock, It will become distorted and look like a little finger type thing reaching and connecting to the rock next to the shroom. It will disconnect from the big shroom and become a new baby shroom. I hope that makes sense. hard to explain and I dont have any pictures either.

so when like one side looks like it is gonna close up but the other side is extended?thats what mine is doing

reefman420 yours may still be in shock from relocating into your tank. I've seen them "pout" for several days after a move or change of environment. Just enjoy them and take it easy.

Mine looks fairly normal from above maybe slightly off color but normal and then one day a small baby shrooms is just "there" under the edge of Mama!

ohya i know what u mean,i was just askin.no they seem to be comeing around they are all open..but their not flat u know,their still (fuzzy)looking u know what i meen..i bought them they were fully extended and flat....i think their rhodactis or something like that

hmmm, when you see their toes? ok, on the serious side...mine kind of look like they are melted or are melting when they are splitting....and the next thing I know there is a little baby shroom sitting there smiling up at me....

u will know when theres 1 shroom on monday night and on tuedays morning there will be 2

and so on and so on...

i started with 1 little shroom... on a shell.. now its in 4 spots in my tank. one spot has a nice bunch of them... its on the qt tank on the shell it came on.. with several , and its on the nano
