insult to injury

Oh yes.... Im done with the hippo tang till i can afford and get a large one.. that i can see is very healthy..

carpet surf.....

replaced to tank only to find her way to the power head....

so flush to heaven.......

what are the chance's that adding that little fish to my tank is gonna cost me all my fish?

Im not mad or upset... Im just tired. i can beleave this...

just an hour ago i was feeding her... all was well she was playing with nemo.

about 10 min ago i i go looking for her... and shes not there me and the woman are geting all scared... cause we cant find her....

i start saying carpet surf,,,, carpet surf... and little did i know there she was carpet bound.....

so i replaced to tank in sump in attempt to revive a almost dead fish...

negative...

if i have to part my tank.....

ill leave it at that...

good night guys.....

Re: insult to injury

I'm truly sorry to hear that! Have you considered egg crate for the top of your tank?

Re: insult to injury

That's a good idea! Get up, wipe off your jeans and get a bigger horse! I know how disheartening it is to lose livestock. Especially when your heart was in watching it grow and flourish. Keep your chin up buddy!

Vince Lombardi said, "It doesn't matter how many times you get knocked down; what matters is how often you get back up."

You'll succeed!

Re: insult to injury

I went through the same thing. My first one died from ammonia so I waited a couple more weeks and got another fish. That one died from ammonia. I waited a couple more weeks. I got a pair of pink skunks. They did great for awhile...and then they got ick. I put them in qt...not cycled. I changed the water every day. I took the filter out to clean it and the little one got sucked into the powerhead. They were a pair...I went out and found a new little man. Into the qt. I changed the water everyday for a month because it hadn't cycled. They made it. It's now been 3 months since and I haven't killed anything. And the new couple is getting along.
It happens. It's frustrating.
Things are going okay now...I'm glad I stuck with it. Take a break from it and maybe get a little coral. Do a new fish again later. Learning curve kinda sucks.

Soeey for your loss,
The 30 sounds like a great sump for the 75 and the 10 would be a great QT

Sorry for your loss. That would be frustrating. Good luck with the upgrade (when it happens)
