Is this enough light?

well hello ladies and gents...i crossed the line and bought a coral..
im not f/o now. i bought a purple mushroom frag with three big mushies on it'for 24 bucks?good deal?

anyways i was running regular floressents for a day.and today i bought a oddyssea 48 inch 2 175 watt 10K hqi metal halides,with 2 96 watt power compacts on each side.with 6 led blue moon lights.

is this enough light to keep corals in a 75 gallon tank, if so what kind and how many..id really like a frogspawn.anyways please let me know i want to build a reef...im off to get the things for the refiugium this weekend.thanx

I am a beginner here, but I am pretty sure that lighting is good enough for a frogspawn. Get a few other opions first, tho! I can't wait till I upgrade my lighting so I can do what you are doing!!!

ya ive been wanting corals for a long time now.i tow cars so i turned in 4 catylictic converters and bought this set up on e_bay.i just wanna know what else i can grow sufficently>!

my dad has been running a reef since 1993 with the same amount of lighting on a 90g, you will be fine for frogspawn and mushrooms..

that is a little vague... their is a lot of corals that can live under that light.. making a list would be nuts... what kind of corals do you want to keep?

some stony polyps,prolly somesoft corals...mainly i can grow alot of corals under their huh?lol

i would stay away from some high light corals like acropora... they are very light demanding corals...

would bubble tips do ok under this light?my tank has been up and running for about two years.

I would think a bta would be fine but I wouldn't go for the more light demanding ameomomne.
You should be fine for anthing except SPS.

cool so xenia and frogspawn should be ok?oh ya i got a mushroom frag with three like deep purple mushrooms on it...where should i place it in these kinds of lights..low flow,high flow?

I'm curious why you guys don't think that's enough light for SPS? That is WAY more light than I have and my LPS and softies are doing great. What would he need to keep SPS?

I am just not sure on the SPS. Softies and LPS should be perfectly fine with that lighting.
I would start the mushrooms on the botom with relatively low flow. Then gradually move them to mid tank.
