| Reefing for Jesus ![]() | Yellow slug Latnight while doing my nightly tank watch I noticed something on the rear glass between the tank wall and the liverock. It looked like a yellow sponge, but upon further examiniation it began to move and low and behold it's a huge (1 to 1 1/2) yellow slug. It resembles a banana slug. I couldn't reach do tho it's positioning and I haven't seen again as of yet. Of course I have no photo but I need a little help here because I'm concerned. I mean I have enogh going on already and I don't need some coral eating slug in my tank.

| Smile Maker | Re: Yellow slug Could be a chiton. I have one that looks like this. Dorsal ![]() Ventral ![]() They are nocturnal, only coming out at night to feed. They have a multi-faceted articulated shell that is usually covered by the mantle. In the top photo you can see parts of the shell running down the middle of the body. They are generally harmless. This one is about 3". |
