| Golden Moray | Reef Bugs Someone had told me and recommended these Reef Bugs to me when I was concerned about my sun coral eating. I bought the reef bugs and although I do not use them on a daily basis I am satisfied with the results. When I first used them I about freaked out when I saw how cloudy and murky they made the water, even though I had been warned. However everything in the tank goes into a berserk feeding frenzy, all the corals perk up, the fish become sharks and the stars make their appearance. Has anyone else used this product and if so are you having any water issues, spikes, etc? Just curious as I really don't want to start having problems. It's ALL gotta go!! Nitrate (NO3) reduction is directly proportional to percentage of Water Change. Allen's home-made formula...currentNO3-((%WC*.01)currentNO3)=finalNO3 (thanks Luukosian) This means if you change 50% of your total water volume (That's EVERYTHING) you'll get a net reduction of (NO3) somewhere around 50%. | Golden Moray | Re: Reef Bugs No changes in water and I have used it 3 maybe 4 times now. Can't really find anything negative about the product so far, but just want to be sure. I know my skimmer is really nasty after using it and it isn't as easy as throwing something in the tank and walking away. Mixing the stuff (using your own tank water)is a 30 minute process which is ok for me, I have the time to do these things.

| Golden Moray | Re: Reef Bugs Cat, turn your skimmer off when you're using it otherwise you're probably pulling it out of the water as fast as you're putting it in. Same goes for anyone using phyto. I cut mine off for a full day when I hit my tank with phyto. |

| Smile Maker | Re: Reef Bugs I read somewhere, can't remember where or why they said it, but they said they would never use a Mark Weiss product. Anyone else heard that? |

| Golden Moray | Re: Reef Bugs Water still tested fine, but I haven't used them on a daily basis as it suggests or instructs. The fish love them as do the corals, but I think since I posted this I have only used them twice, simply because it just kind of "bugs" me seeing my water real cloudy for more than an hour after using them. ![]()
