| Elegance coral | biological filtration right now i have a 55 gallon salt water fish only tank three inchs of substrate,and about 30 to 40 lbs of live rock ...im currently running a fluvall canister filter,a oceanic protien skimmer,and three powerheads.two on the front of the tank and one in the middle back face ing towards the front.i was wondering would it be good to re add the penguine bio wheel filter that i took out...please any suggestions |

| Totally back ![]() | Re: biological filtration The biowheels are not good biofilters for SW tanks, and won't completely process your nitrogen cycle. Let the live rock handle your biological filtration needs.
