yesterday i had my salinity tested and it was 1.026 i had a few inches evaporated from the tank though is that why my salinity was so high

1.026 or 35 ppt is fine. What are you using to test your salinity with? When water evaps from the tank what are you topping off with?

Yes, that would be why the salinity is that high, but if your water level was down a couple inches in a 20gallon tank when you top off it would probably be pretty low. Do you know what it is usually?

your high temperature could be affecting results as well!!!

I keep my salinity at 1.026

How did you messaure you salinity.
hydrometer can be very inaccurate.
Refractometers are the best way to measure Sg
