My darn skunk shrimp is eating my nassarius snails!!!!

I've been wondering where they have been going....

Now I know....

Any ideas, besides scampi to keep both in my tank?

LOL I love them but they can be greedy punks! This is a new one to me though. Try keeping the cleaner well fed?

Ive seen the peppermints tear into nassarius's but never the skunk. I guess I need to feed the tank more than I am and see if that fixes it.

LOL - It's halloween in the tank - the crab dresses up like a shrimp and knocks on the snails shell.... " Trick or Treat....no treat?"

Just a thought, but if the snails were already dead, would the shrimp scavenge on them?

Great point Nikki. Absolutely they are, like all crustaceans, very opportunistic scavangers. They will clean up any dead snails or limpets in my tank if the Yellow Wrasse and Hermit Crabs don't beat them to it.

Could be that something else is causing the demise of the Nassaurius snails and they just look guilty.
