LFS in Greenville, SC

Hello gang! I'll be traveling to Greenville, SC later this week on business and need some insight into some good places to go shopping for REEF goodies in Greenville. I am staying at Crowne Plaza off of Congaree Rd. Any advice would be GREATLY appreciated!!

Right down the street is Ocean's Floor. Just go down Congaree towards the mall and you will see it on the left.They don't carry much afa as dry goods, but typically have a good selection of fish and corals.
I don't know anyone else in the area that would be worth going to. There is a Petland pretty close to there that carries marine/reef livestock, but I am not impressed with the health or selection of their livestock.

Awesome! Thanks for the info!! I'll check them out and see what they have to offer. I'm sort of "full" at the moment unless I run up on that "can't live without" specimen but it never hurts to window shop just in case

you are probably driving straight down 26, but if you have extra time on your drive back, you can detour to Shelby and visit FinsReef and marvel at some really expensive equipment.

I didn't get to detour through Shelby today because I had a new FRAG I had to get home and into my tank. I scored BIG on a hammer frag. Ocean's Floor has an amazing selection of hammers (Which is what I have been looking for). The one I wanted was two heads which meant it was double the price of what I wanted to pay. I slept on it and decided to opt for the more expensive one due to they looked so healthy. I came back today and talked with them. I asked the guy that worked there about which one he thought was the healthiest bunch and he pulled this massive cluster out. It was fairly un-affected by his attempts to get it to withdraw so all I knew was it had 2 heads with the potential for another one. He bagged it and I came home with it. Got home looked at it closely and it's SIX heads instead of two. I could frag this bad boy right now and get MORE than my money back and still have my hammer (but I'm not fragging it). Ocean's Floor had a very good selection of inverts and I got some GREAT ideas on my next tank.

Thanks for the suggestion!! It ended up being just barely down the road from my hotel & class. I wont admit how MANY times I visited them in 3 days

Yea, almost walking distance to the Crowne Plaza. Lots of good food around there as well.

If you find yourself close to Columbia, SC stop by Fins in Irmo. It's close to the lake in West Columbia. Another small shop with great livestock.
Edit: and lots of good food nearby this place too.
