Re: Chicagoland Reefers

HI, I stopped buy DLC last night to check it out. It's a really cool place, and I would suggest it to anyone in the Chicago area. Elizabeth was really nice and helpfull. I ended up buying some pretty cool zoos on a rock with a neat profile. What can I do to promote the division of zoo's? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Has anyone heard about the frag swap in Rockford coming up. I think I'm going to go, but it's a little far in the future for me to be certain. later

Re: Chicagoland Reefers

hello chicago. DLC is an awesome store indeed. Mike is a hobbyist at heart and a fish store second. as far as zoos go just give em some light and surrounding rocks to grow and they will do just fine. PATIENTS is the key to this hobby. the fragswap in rockford is gonna be huge but it is quite far.

Naperville.

I frequent Reef Plus in North Aurora.

Looking for a hospital tank right now as I move from a FOWLR tank towards a reef.

Re: Chicagoland Reefers

Hey, there was going to be a frag swap convention in Il.. I can't remember anything more than that. I would like to go, if someone can tell me what I forgot. Thanks.

PS. Not the IMAC.

I really don't like Living Sea, the prices are a little high. Also Old Orchard Aquarium in Skokie,IL on Skokie Blvd.

What I did was find a local small fish store IN Chicago. Its called Dannas Aquatics located on Lawrence Ave . He is trying to just make it a internet based business where he would sell corals and such. Right now hes open to the public, does not have much but with his help he can go to the supplier and get what ever I want real cheap. Niger Trigger for $30 ha! Corals are very cheap compared to others. My colt coral was only $30. and with that size of a colt I would have to pay $60-80!

Re: Chicagoland Reefers

I just went to living sea today for the first time. I thought it was nice, but kind of expensive. They had alot of stuff, and some cheap ricordia frags, but nothing I had to have. I think the frag swap your thinking of is in Rockford, I belive in April. I'm probably going to go, so maybe I'll see you guys there.
