The sump is a 40G equipment only sump, there will soon be a 60-80g refuge/sand bed next to the sump. I had the stand and canopy made for the tank. I wish i was that good a wood working

Nice to see you getting started. I'll be working late tonight on mine. How much more live rock are going with?

It Works!! Both Mag 18s are running and the durso s are working, kinda quite. The filter sock quiets down the overflow pipes also the water is extremely clear for a tank less than 24 hours old Found and fixed 2 small leaks, one at a 2" bulk head and the other at a uniuon.

What a great start you have! Do you plan on curing your own rock or buying already cured? Just curious, cause we would like to get a bigger tank and are wondering which route we should take.
This will be another fine thread to follow through! Thanks for including us!

Looking good!

This must be the time of year for setting up new tanks... I'm in the beginning of the process myself.
That's crazy though... your skimmer pump is about 3x as powerful as my return pump (a Mag9.5).
Can't wait to see more pix... keep 'em coming.
