| Totally stoked dude ![]() | Re: acan corals IME they do well under a wide variety of lighting and they are not very aggressive at all. I would keep them away from more aggressive corals. They also seem to appreciate a good feeding. Did you have any particular types of Acan's in mind? There is a thread in here with about a billion pictures of different acan's from echinata to lords, and some various micros and such accidentally getting in there ![]()

| Hey!Its not my fault ![]() | Re: acan corals Acans are one of my favorite corals.. I have them low in my tank and moderate flow and they do great... How much lighting do you have?
__________________ 265 Gallon Reef built into basement wall. Lighting = 6x250 watts MH, 2x96 watt PC ,and 2x140 watt VHO for a total watt of 1,972 watts . New addition on 4-14-07 of 100 gallon sump and 100 gallon refugium. I think I have lost my mind. Gotta love this hobby VickiLife is like a pathway of untrodden snow. | Sea Pen | Re: acan corals 4x65w power compacts 2 blue 2 white. Not sure what kind of acan they are aussie they are at Just Coral said their aussie. Have moderate flow in the tank. think they look great. Just wandering if they will actually grow under my lights. Candy Cane and Hammers seem to be doing great. I had to move a hammer out of the sand and up on rocks due to it startiing to lose its tenticales which looked like a slime where sand had been kicked up from my clowns. Looks great now. Really like the coloring of the acans they are bright and iam looking to brighten up my tank. |

I prefer to keep them under 20,000k halides as that really makes there colors pop. what size tank do you have? I've seen them kept under PC's before, but it was a pretty small tank. http://www.reefsanctuary.com/forums/...ea-anyone.html micromussas are very colorful also Micromussa Pics!!!

I have been trying to scrape the funds together for some hilaides but iam in college and well their expensive everyone thinks iam crazy already but i like the hobby. I have a 55 gal tank with about 50lbs of fiji live rock thanks for the link to the pics mps9506 |
