| Tubeworm | How much flow for a 90 gallon reef setup Hi all, As my first general post, I have a question. I'm setting up a 90 RR gallon tank and fill it with LPS, some easy SPS, plus clams and an anemone. I'm expecting about 500 gph from the return line (700gph rating at 0" headsapce), and interested in two powerheads to supplement the flow/current. How much additional flow should I want to add? I'm looking at a pair of Koralia's (after the recalls), nanostreams, or Seios. For the nanostreams, I can only afford the 6025s which give me 2x660 gph. If I go Koralias, a pair of #3s will give me 2x850 gph or #4 2x1200 gph. And if you recommend more flow, I'd prob. use Seios, either a pair of 1100s or 1500s. |

| Golden Moray | Re: How much flow for a 90 gallon reef setup You should be extremely happy with a pair of Koralia Pump 3's. I have 1 on my 110 gallon and would add another except that I'm upgrading to an 8' 210 gallon. I'm going to add 2 pump 4's to my current pump 3 and see how it goes. If I need more flow, I'll sell my pump 3 and buy 2 more pump 4's. I love them. They move a lot of water for the buck! |
