| Tunicate | LFS in Wilmington, NC? Hey all. This is my first post, I started my first saltwater tank last August. Anyway, I met a mod. a couple weeks back, in person, who recommended this forum to me (not wanting to name drop). In our conversation, she mentioned that someone on RS had lived in Wilmington, NC and knew the best LFS in that area. I was curious about information on that (PM me if its not forum protocol to talk about a specific business). Thanks and I look forward to being on this board. |

| Excellent Guesser :D | Re: LFS in Wilmington, NC? You appear to have burned or scorned on some other forum. Name dropping is perfectly fine. (George Bush) In fact your are encouraged to share. (Ottmar Liebert) <- you get bonus karma if you know who he is. ![]() There is a retailer locator spot on here somewhere. Hopefully someone with real knowledge will chime in here soon. (Albert Einstein) p.s - Welcome aboard by the way. Sit back, relax and enjoy the reef. Oh yeah, found it. Main screen. Left side. LFS locator. Hopefully that person filled in the info there. If not, hopefully they find this post.

| Totally stoked dude ![]() | Re: LFS in Wilmington, NC? Welcome to the board. If you are looking for a fish only type fish store, the only place in the area is Tropical Paradise. He has a made himself a very bad rep over the last several years with his customer service. Last time I was in town I heard he has changed, although I still haven't been in there in 6 or 7 years. The Pets Plus stores carry marine fish and inverts. Not a huge selection, but they can get what you need. There is one in Porter's Neck and one at the corner of Shipyard and College. I'm not sure who still works at the Shipyard store, but Chris at the Porter's Neck location should be extremely helpful. Other than that I would highly recomend a ride up to Garner to check out Aquatica and Down Under, and if you get up to Raleigh, Fish World is nice. I think it's about an hour to hour and half drive depending how fast you like to drive on I40.

| Totally stoked dude ![]() | Re: LFS in Wilmington, NC? I forgot to mention there should be a very nice reef store opening in Mrytle Beach pretty soon. If you are in the MB area call Sea Critters to see if he is open. Also swing by Coastline Pet Supply. Coastline is a fullline store, with a smaller selection, but everytime I've been in the have a few really cool corals in there that always look healthy.
