Oh NO!...

Well, when I woke up this morning I saw that the tank was cloudy, oh no! I started checking things out and found out that my coralife PC 'fuge light had fallen into the 'fuge somehow last night, luckily it was not lighted, thank goodness...Well to make a long, sad story shorter, We, Rhonda, my son, and I, changed 40 gal. tap water (luckily very good water here) Dechloranated w/Prime...I had to go to the LFS for some new Carbon, added it to my Phos reactor, added TLC (live bacteria supposed to Digest excess organics) and will be doing another massave water change later, Anything that I have overlooked? Any help is apppreciated...Danny and Rhonda...

Oh man! That reminds me when I somehow didn't get the battery case sealed on my strobe light when I went diving! It let all the smoke out! Made for some pretty ucky water in the process. Good luck - and karma to you. I assume you are also getting a new fuge light? Keep an eye on your pH levels in case something that was released affects that.

Thanks for the support guys...seems like the snails are getting the worst of it so far, and my Gold Max is gaping and receded

...The SPS look none too happy at the moment ether...

Dang it Danny! so if it wasn't on watt caused the problem? did the bulb pop or something in the housing? Steve

No, the light looks ok, I think that it was just the light soaking in the 'fuge all night ,lots of metal, copper wires, Ballest (who knows whats in those )...I don't think your supposed to rinse and soak 'um all night...LOL..at least not in the 'fuge...

I think that the cloudy water is a result of stuff dieing; pods, snails, plankton, bacteria...I THINK I'm right about that...maybe If I'm wrong, someone with more knowledge will chime in...

We had a local guy that had a Hiatt torpedo filter system that he offered to loan so we took off and drove the 40 mile round trip, hooked it all up....I don't know of anything else to do except wait it out...

Well, it looks ilke I lost the Gold Max...my Acro. Selago, red and green plate Monti's, blue tip acro, Purple Milli, still look like their hanging in there but some tissue loss...The mushrooms and Zoos look fine so far, Leathers are unextended and not at all happy...Water is still cloudy and I will start testing today...Water has a very bad smell...(some of you know THAT smell...)...Unhappy day for sure...
