Bird, sorry to hear this. You MAY want to run some Poly-Filters to remove any copper or other metals in the water. It's pretty good at that.
Otherwise, my hunch is that the copper is probably the biggest problem, but zinc (from screws) as well as untold compounds from the ballast may also be a major concern.
Carbon and polyfilters...change them often.

Re: Oh NO!...

Thanks BoomerD, We've had a hyatt system on it for 24 hours but we didn't think of the poly filter. I'm afraid we're losing most of our corals but we have the poly on it now

Please don't say that. Hopefully some of them will recover.

Re: Oh NO!...

Sorry about the corals man! If the tank isn't already cycling from the light in it, watch out cause it probably will from the dying corals. Keep up the fight!

Re: Oh NO!...

Our zoos seem to all be fine though not all open. We lost all the snails , the crocea clam, millipora, some acroporas we're trying to save by fragging. The Montis might make it. The branching hammer coral looks rough. We lost one fire shrimp (Scarlett), Rhett ,her mate made it. The leathers look pretty iffy. and the piorate coral seems to be dying but might make it. We still have some christmas tree worms. The fish are all accounted for so far and the ricordias seem like they are going to make it. The palleys and green star polyps look like they are going to make it. Our Sun coral is in shock and is iffy. We're a little discouraged but we have been fighting it. We still have the hyatt system on it and are doing water changes daily at this point.

Re: Oh NO!...

Glad to hear at least some of the tank is perking up. Hopefully you will be able to save most of the iffy stock.
This really stinks. I feel so bad for you guys.

Re: Oh NO!...

Update: I'm having a tremendous Diatom spike, is this to be expected ? I expected a bacteria bloom but with the Hyatt it never really happend, I'm sorta confused as to whats happening...I restarted the Hyatt and did another 10% WC (about 100 gal total in a 75), changed out the carbon in the reactor...anything to worry about, what am I missing ?...

Re: Oh NO!...

Section B - Diatoms

We cranked up the MH's right before the crash. Seems diatoms love light.
