Green Coraline?

all over the back of my tank i have small dime to quarter sized algae deposits. it looks just like corraline algae but it is green. i do have so purple and pink growing that looks the same but there is much more green. Is there a suck thing as green corraline or is this some other type of nuisance algae i should worry about?

Re: Green Coraline?

I also have this and was wondering the same as it has only started in the last 6 mths. or so. I do think that it is Coraline algae as it has the same growth form and it started at the same time that I had a major purple Coraline spurt. I had received some GARF GRUNGE about 2 mths before that and just connected the two events...How about you, have you or anyone else put grunge in your systems and seen anything different growing? Also have new snails and some nice anemones that popped up...D

Re: Green Coraline?

It's coraline and it is very hard to remove. From time to time I break out the razor and scrape it.
