Poor Guy!

I went to pick up an order of a skunk cleaner and another harelquin shrimp for my friend (the cleaner was for me), well the order was wrong, and what did I get a cleaner wrasse and a beauty at that. The problems is is that he looks in bad shape. His mouth was gapeing open and he was on his side, so I rushed him home to do an emergency acclimation. his mouth is closed and he's right side up but still seems in shock. I hope he makes it I hate to lose anything.

Good luck with him! Wrasses are starting to move their way to my favorites. I just got a six line that is DA BOMB!

I have him in a bucket with two airstones running. The water smelled a little funky so I poured some of it down the drain. The little guys got spunk and moxy, keep him in your prayers.

He's swimming around although it is very laboured and he's skimming the surface of the water as if he's looking more oxygen. I am going to put him in the fuge when he's done acclimating so noone will bother him, give him a fighting chance.

I am sad to report that the wrasse did not make, he passed earlier this morning. Cause of death unknown. I hope rest in peace.

Sorry to hear that! If it makes you feel any better (probably not)... I was told by one of my LFS's that they wouldn't stock them because their survival rate was not good. I was hoping you could pull him through...

I want another one. He was so beautiful and he adds a service to the tank. I think if I can get one that comes to me in good shape everything will be ok. Thanx to everyone for their help and support through this.
