Oh Im sorry for your loss... Test your water and make sure you arent having small spikes in ammonia, nitrites and trates... it is a farely new system isnt it?

its about 3 months old by now. its been stable for close to 2 months. i am getting small spikes. ammonia is at .5, trites at 5 and trates at .25. not really anythign major (except the ammonia), id say its due to the bioload that ive added.

my remaining lion just ate frozen prawn from my tweezers! woot!

ive fed him 2 times so far, both times live goldfish (i know theyre bad in the long term... just to start him off). this time i got some frozen prawn and put it about 4 - 6 inches from him, and slowly waved it back and forth. i saw him notice the prawn and i was like "SCORE!" he slowly swam up and BAM snatched it from my tweezers!

this is a GREAT indication of his good health! now i need to get longer tweezers....
