Very cool! I'm glad he set up camp where you can see him. This is one of my fav fish, but due to them being jumpers, and their price tag, I haven't wanted to take the chance

When I'm finally happy with bulb hight, and the canopy gets finished I might treat myself

Keep him in the box until you decide what is best. Is the box open or still closed. Is the box at a normal temp (cooler side of normal)? Have you verified he is alive in the box? Keep him in the dark to keep him calm (and conserve oxygen). I had some fish ship with my live rock that lasted two days before I was notified it was sitting at Southwest cargo. They were very cold, but did fine.
